Lead Change
Starknet just opened a vote to quit Ethereum. It cites quantum risk. STRK holders decide next.
Why it matters: Here is the deal. L2 s rent security from Ethereum. If Ethereum is slow to go quantum safe, Starknet is asking if it should build its own locks. Starknet TVL is up about 25% on the week, so this is not a ghost chain talking. It is a live network questioning the landlord.
Market Snapshot
Crypto sold with stocks as Bitcoin held near $81k while ETH fell about 6% and total value dropped about 6%. The read is risk-off with thin cash on the sidelines as stablecoin supply sat essentially flat, so bounces need fresh.
Narratives Snapshot
Tokenized Assets jumped with no headline to explain it, so it looks like rotation or momentum. Other groups fell as Asian stocks sold off and dragged altcoins lower. Quantum linked names also faced news that Starknet opened a vote on leaving Ethereum over quantum risks.
Alpha Spotlight
Solana · SOL
Solana trailed the majors at -7.6% this week.
Solana is trading near $101.88, and the broader structure is still leaning lower. It fell 7.6% over the last 7 days. From here, the first support sits about 10% below price and the first resistance about 15% above. Momentum is mixed, so watch for follow-through before trusting the move.
What Prediction Markets Think
Traders price a high 72% chance of a dip to $81k but still see 86% odds Bitcoin stays above $78k. That is fear of a wick, not a break.

Predict & Earn →5 Changes That Matter

1 Starknet opened a vote on whether to explore leaving Ethereum to become an independent post-quantum L1.
If STRK holders back further research, that would support a formal L1 design proposal with timelines and costs.

2 Bitcoin sank to about $81k after September CPI came in at 3.7% and Korea's Kospi closed about 8% lower.
Stocks sneezed and crypto caught it. Hot inflation revived rate hike talk in the US while a trading halt in Korea forced risk lower across Asia. Bitcoin near $81k held up better than ETH and SOL, both down about 6% and 5%. When Bitcoin leads on the way down, it is defense, not strength.
If the next US inflation reading cools, that would support a relief bounce. If Asian equities keep sliding, that would support more pressure on alts.

3 The EBA named Circle's USDC as the EU's first significant e-money token.
This is a label with teeth. Significant means more checks, more reports, and more eyes from EU supervisors. For Circle, it is proof that USDC won the compliance race in Europe. For rivals, the bar just got higher and the paperwork just got thicker.
If EU volumes shift further toward USDC on licensed venues, that would support the idea that the tag brings trust as well as rules.

4 Ledger unveiled Atom, an Android device built with Solana Mobile with new tamper protections.
A hardware wallet that wants to be your phone. The pitch is simple. Keep keys offline but use apps like a normal person. The timing matters because the firm is also dealing with questions around modified wallets. Trust is the product here as much as hardware.
If independent reviews confirm the tamper protections work as described, that would support renewed demand for Ledger devices.

5 Hyperliquid founder says the US should oversee trading platforms, not his blockchain.
Classic split the baby. Regulate the front door where people trade, leave the back-end code alone. It is a friendly way to invite rules without giving up decentralization. Lawmakers may like the sound of it because venues are easier to inspect than networks.
If US bills focus next on venue registration and disclosures, that would support Hyperliquid's split approach gaining ground.
Risk Map
01 Risk-off spillover is backBitcoin near $81k with ETH down about 6% and total value down about 6% shows stocks are driving crypto again. |
02 Liquidity cushion looks thinStablecoin supply sat essentially flat on the day and L2 value fell about 4% on the week, so dips lack a quick cash bid. |
VIEW Bottom lineThe read: sellers have control because hot inflation and weak stocks hit at once. That flips if inflation cools and Bitcoin holds above $81k on rising demand. |
